The educational sessions held during MTA's 2010 Educational Conference will provide knowledge, enhance your skills and inspire you to become a truly effective leader. Topics are designed for elected officials at every level and, in addition to statutory duties, address a variety of concepts, trends and current issues in township government.
It's All About the Education...
You'll find two types of classes as you review this year's selections. "Traditional" classes will address statutory roles and responsibilities, legal issues and a myriad of other matters that townships tackle. "Innovative" classes will supplement our traditional programming by exploring topics, such as the emerging bioenergy industry and dealing with foreclosed properties.

Pre-Conference Programming...
Pre-Conference events begin Jan. 26, including a full-day assessors renewal class, an intensive grant writing series (led by renowned grants guru Dr. Beverly Browning, author of Grant-writing for Dummies), and two Township Governance Academy (TGA) courses.
The ever-popular Legal and Auditor Institutes are also being conducted that day.
