
MTA Member Information Services provides information on all facets of
township operations and responds to all requests for information from township officials.
We have numerous
sample ordinances,
job descriptions,
policies, and
contracts and agreements available for member townships to adapt for use in your own communities.
The
MTA Salary Survey Database provides compensation information for numerous township offices and employment positions. Member townships can request a survey report for townships by county, population or state equalized valuation.
We make the
MTA Listserv available for township officials and employees to interact online.
We administer member township contacts with MTA Legal Counsel and member township requests for written legal opinions per criteria established by the MTA Board of Directors. MTA Legal Counsel are available for phone consultations every Thursday, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at (517) 321-6467. (
Other contact arrangements may be made when Thursday falls on a holiday.)Township officials in many counties have organized MTA
County Chapters, and we serve as the statewide link to coordinate services to chapters, including sending the
County Chapter Update newsletter to chapter officers.
