Time to Contact Legislators for Annual Banquet

MTA has invited all legislators to attend the banquet at the MTA Annual Conference in Grand Rapids. Now is a good time to contact your legislator’s office to see if they will be attending and to coordinate seating arrangements.

Delegates please remember that if you are participating in the "ticket xchange" to reserve your table/seat ahead of time and you want your legislator to sit with you, you will also have to reserve a seat for your legislator. At the exchange center (located near MTA registration), there will be a list of those legislators that have told us they plan to be at the banquet. Here's how it works: when you exchange your ticket for the "assigned seat," reserve a seat for your legislator (make sure if they have a guest with them that you also include them). You will not receive a ticket for the legislator instead their ticket will be retained by us. When your legislator arrives on banquet night, they will check-in at the legislators' registration table. We will give him or her their banquet ticket and let them know where you are seated.

Also, if you do not participate in the new exchange program, it is possible to have your legislator sit with you. You will need to save your table and a seat for your legislator and then let us know what the table number is.
