Beginning Jan. 1, 2026, many retooled forms required by the state Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy’s Remediation and Redevelopment Division will be exclusively available online through the Remediation Information Data Exchange (RIDE). The affected programs are Part 201 (Environmental Remediation) and Part 213 (Leaking Underground Storage Tanks). Submittals sent by mail, email or other methods without the required electronic RIDE form may no longer meet regulatory requirements. Local leaders are encouraged to review RIDE guidance pages to understand form requirements and prepare for the transition.
