The Michigan Department of Treasury guides local governments on accounting and auditing through Numbered Letters. To keep this information relevant, documents are being updated and removed from 1993 to present with the goal of refreshing 20% of these publications annually. Four updated Numbered Letters were recently issued, and five outdated Numbered Letters were removed. The updated Numbered Letters are:
- 2004-1Local Corrections Officers Training Fund—Public Act 124 of 2003
- 2004-6 Revised Fee Court Transmittal Form 57 Child Support Bench Warrant Enforcement Fund
- 2005-1Sex Offender Registration Fee Collection
- 2009-1 Unclaimed Property Act
The removed Numbered Letters are 2004-7 Property Tax Levy-County Tax, 2005-3 ListServ Subscription, 2005-6 and 2008-1 Mileage-Service of Process, and 2008-4 Filing Requirements for the Audit Report and the Auditing Procedures Report.
