How local leaders can address PFAS

PFAS are called “forever chemicals” because they don’t break down easily in the environment. They are found in many household and commercial products and can get into the environment from a variety of sources. At the next “Local Leaders” webinar on Sept. 17 at 10 a.m., the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy will cover how PFAS can impact communities, what residents can do to reduce their exposure, and how township leaders can raise awareness in their communities to the contaminants.
