MTA’s 2023 Capital Conference a success!

MTA’s 2023 Capital Conference was held on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 with record attendance of more that 200 township officials at the one-day event!
Attendees gathered in Lansing to meet with their lawmakers and hear updates on key issues impacting local government. MTA’s own Judy Allen and Mike Batterbee gave a legislative update and encouraged townships officials to work with lawmakers by helping to inform, educate and advocate on local issues.
Adam Fracassi with state Bureau of Elections explained requirements of Proposal 2022-2–and what the bureau knows and doesn’t yet know for implementation and impact on local elections.
Nearly 100 lawmakers and staff met with local officials at MTA’s Capital Conference during lunch to hear about township issues and experiences.
Additionally, several state and federal agencies participated in an afternoon expo to share information and resources with attendees.
