This November, Michigan voters will decide whether to convene a constitutional convention in 2027 to overhaul the state’s Constitution. The MTA Board voted unanimously earlier this year to oppose Proposal 1, the Con-Con ballot initiative. Last Friday, MTA joined fellow organizations that are part of the Protect MI Constitution coalition opposing Prop 1 at a press conference to discuss the potential impacts of a Con-Con.
