Northfield Township (Washtenaw Co.) is now hiring a part-time Code Enforcement Officer
Up to $29.00/hour
Up to 30 hours per week
The Code Enforcement Officer is a sworn enforcement position upholding property maintenance standards in accordance with local ordinances. Work includes investigating complaints, citing and abating nuisances and addressing zoning violations.
- Works with general public in a calm, responsive manner
- May be exposed to difficult/emotional situations involving potentially dangerous people, animals and locations
- Assists with court cases and testifies as needed
- Ability and willingness to work outside in all weather conditions
- May require working irregular hours and weekends when needed
- Must have valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Minimum High School Diploma/GED required
