MSHDA launches MI Neighborhood statewide housing grant opportunity

Local units of government can access funding for housing through the MI Neighborhood application launched by the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA). The application consolidates nine targeted programs and funding in response to regional action plans strategic alignment with the Statewide Housing Plan. This new application streamlines access to three main housing activity components: rehabilitation, new unit, and/or public amenities. Applications will be accepted as long as funding is available. Up to $60 million will be awarded in the current fiscal year, with the next round of funding beginning Oct. 1, the start of the state’s new fiscal year.
