All non-entitlement units (NEUs, all but eight of Michigan’s largest townships) must file their annual American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Projects and Expenditures Report by April 30. The report is required for all townships that received ARPA funds through the federal Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLFRF) program, even if your township has already fully spent the funds. The majority of townships accepted the ARPA funds and must comply with the annual reporting requirements, or risk having to return the funds (even those already spent) to the federal government. Questions about the SLFRF program and reporting should be directed to U.S. Treasury at SLFRF@treasury.gov. For technical assistance on your submission and questions related to the reporting portal, contact covidreliefitsupport@treasury.gov. MTA’s Member Information Services staff is also available to assist you and answer questions, at (517) 321-6467 (press 1). MTA’s Federal COVID-19 Relief Funding webpage also includes information and guidance.
