Highland Charter Township (Oakland Co.), a municipality of approximately 20,000 people, is seeking a full-time Zoning Administrator in the Highland Township Planning and Zoning Department. Hourly Range: $25.62 – $32.30 per hour plus a comprehensive benefit package
Job Summary: Under the general supervision of the Township Supervisor, interprets, administers and enforces the Township Zoning Ordinance. The Zoning Administrator (ZA) is especially charged with the task of protecting the property rights of citizens and preserving due process. The ZA assists the general public in reaching solutions and compliance with the Zoning Ordinance. The ZA keeps abreast of changes in zoning law and land use issues and advises key decision makers accordingly.
