Winsor Township treasurer elected to Michigan Townships Association Board of Directors
Nancy Heck, Winsor Township (Huron Co.) treasurer, has been re-elected to her role on the Michigan Townships Association (MTA) Board of Directors. Following a caucus election at MTA’s 2022 Annual Educational Conference, held April 25-28 in Lansing, Heck will continue to represent MTA District 14, which encompasses Huron and Tuscola Counties.Heck brings decades of local government experience to her role helping to lead the largest municipal association in the state. She served as township deputy supervisor for a decade, beginning in 1975. She worked in the Huron County Treasurer’s Office for seven years, and was elected township treasurer in 2000. In addition, she was township assessor for 15 years, until 2020, and has served on the Pigeon District Library Board since 1999, where she has held the roles of secretary, vice president and president. She is also secretary of the Huron County MTA Chapter.
