Lowe re-elected to Michigan Townships Association Board of Directors

Genoa Charter Township (Livingston Co.) Trustee Diana Lowe will continue to serve the Michigan Townships Association (MTA) Board of Directors, after being re-elected MTA District 25 director. Lowe was re-elected to the position of director of District 25, which includes Livingston, Monroe, Washtenaw and Wayne Counties, at the Association’s Annual Conference, held April 25-28 in Lansing. She first joined the MTA Board in 2019.

Lowe was elected trustee in 2016 after serving for six years as a township planning commissioner. She is also on the township’s election commission and is treasurer for the Livingston County MTA Chapter. She brought to her township position a long history in municipal government, working for the City of Brighton for 25 years, including nine years as city clerk. In 2007, she earned a Master Municipal Clerk Certification. She is a member of the Howell Area Parks and Recreation Board of Directors and an alternate for the Southeast Michigan Council of Governments.

Her time as a local official—and serving all Michigan township leaders—has been, and continues to be, rewarding. “I am proud to serve as an elected official,” Lowe said. “I look forward to continuing to assist MTA in achieving their goals serving Michigan’s 1,240 townships.”
