Economic Development Coordinator - Delta Township (Eaton County, Lansing, Michigan) is seeking applications for the position of Economic Development Coordinator.  Under the direction of the Township Manager, serves as Economic Development Coordinator for the township.  Plans, implements, directs and coordinates programs designed to enhance growth objectives in various economic development or redevelopment projects; coordinates economic development programs including those related to loan assistance, federal grants, business expansion and retention, and land disposition; conducts special research and analysis related to economic development. 

 

 The salary range for this position is $58,532 through $76,093 DOQ, with a complete benefits package.  This position requires a level of public administration knowledge and experience normally obtained through successful completion of college with a Bachelor's Degree in Planning, Development, Public or Business Administration or a closely related field.  Minimum of five years experience in planning and development in the public sector.  Experience with infrastructure and grants, commercial/retail districts, CDBG (Community Development Block Grant), industrial facilities exemption certificate, revolving loan funds, and working knowledge of Brownfield Development.

Assessing Services-Haring Charter Township (Wexford Co.) is seeking proposals from individuals or firms with a minimum of Level 3 certification to perform its municipal assessing responsibilities. Its 2010 assessment roll included 2,548 parcels, which includes 2,530 ad valorem parcels, 11 IFT parcels and seven DNR PILT parcels. The current township SEV is $162,847,300. Experience using BS&A Equalizer software is required.

TOWNSHIP MANAGER

 

The Charter Township of Chocolay in Marquette County, Michigan seeking an individual to fill the position of Township Manager.  At the direction of the Township Board, the Township Manager provides management of the overall function of Township operations.  The Manager administers the annual budget and prepares contracts.  This position exercises general supervision over all departments and direct supervision over support staff.

 

At a minimum, the applicant must possess a Bachelors degree in public administration, engineering or equivalent background.  Three (3) years experience in public sector management or a related field is required.
